Public Relations

The subject Public Relations, PR, constitutes one of my major emphasis areas of research. Public Relations is, no doubt, a persuasion industry. PR campaigns try to influence the attitudes, opinions, or behaviors of their target audiences. As a PR researcher, I study in depth methods and strategies used in the PR practice in order to persuade our target audience.

Although I also analyze the use of persuasive communication in the corporate world, it is the subject of political communication that really thrills me. This field of research also allows me to combine my two main research subjects: public opinion and public relations. Then the political battle is ultimately a battle for the public opinion, the only legitimate source of power in Western society. And the role of public relations in this battle is an essential element in the foundation of democracy.
