The course has two clearly differentiated parts. In the first section you are introduced into the theory and historical development in the field of rhetorical studies. We also learn in this first part the rhetorical techniques that every student can use for both analyzing rhetorical events and creating different kinds of persuasive messages. In the second section, we use the theoretical knowledge gained in the first part of the course to analyze the application of rhetorical tools and strategies in advertising, maybe the most popular of all persuasion industries.
